The issue with using a normal prime lens with extension tubes is a that you lack the macro sharpness, as a macro lens focusing in this certain magnification will get you a nice sharp clean image. But here its sorta "unsharp"..just to tell you that otherwise the composition and the magnification is perfect! was this natural?

Thanks for you comment! :)
Yes, all natural! I was using my prime lens full open at f1.4, so unfortunately the depth of field was pretty small. It was also hand-held. But it turned out to be the best picture from this series. :)

What camera do you have?
Here I was using a vintage lens with some extension tubes.
The same effect can also be achieved by simply putting a close up filter/lens in front of your camera. :)

Thanks! :)
I know, it's because I'm using a vintage (manual focus) prime lens with an adapter.
Unfortunately this lens doesn't communicate with the camera itself, so it sets the aperture at 1.0.
I have to set the focus and aperture on the lens to get a picture. Here I was using an aperture of f2.0 on the 50mm/f1.4. :)
